"Allllllll-ex. Allllllllllll-ex. Wakey, wakey."

Alex swatted at Olivia as she tried to pull the covers over her head, and go back to sleep.

"Alllllllll-ex! Come on!"

"It is entirely too early to get up Olivia and you are entirely too chipper this morning." Burrowing under the covers and her pillow, Alex foolishly hoped that Olivia would give up this ridiculous idea of getting up early.

"Come on Alex! You can sleep any time. This is Hershey, PA!"

"Liiiiiiv! Come on. We’re on a mini-vacation. Can’t we sleep a little while longer? Please? I’ll make it worth your while." Alex peeked out from under the sheets at the love of her life, and hoped the woman would see the merit in her offer.

Olivia hesitated briefly before pulling the sheets away from Alex and kissing her. Alex wrapped her arms around Olivia and tried to deepen the kiss. Olivia abruptly pulled back and smiled at Alex.

"Come on! We have tickets for the Hershey Museum tour at 9am." Olivia pulled away from Alex and ran for the shower. "I’m waiting Alex!" Hopeful, Alex made her way to the shower, but was disappointed when all Olivia wanted to do was shower.

Sighing in frustration, she quickly washed and left the shower. Olivia was already dressed and bouncing around like a small child on Christmas morning. Watching Olivia was infectious and Alex felt her foul mood lift.

"You really are excited about this, aren’t you?" Embarrassed, Olivia tried to duck away from Alex.

"Olivia? Honey, what is it?"

"I just…I’m just happy to be here with you." Alex wrapped herself around the detective and kissed her soundly.

"So oh great chocolate lover, what’s on tap for today?"

"First we tour the museum, then we take a tour of Hershey aboard the trolley’s they use in town. That will take us to Hershey’s Chocolate World for the parade. Then we have dinner back at The Hotel Hershey. And tomorrow? Tomorrow we indulge in a day at the Hershey Spa. That’s in the morning, and for the afternoon, we go to a Chef’s Chocolate Demonstration. I want to learn how to make the most of chocolate. And then tomorrow night the Hershey Bears are playing. Since the NHL lockout, this is the only chance I’ll have to see a hockey game this year. Sounds great, huh?" Alex shook her head.

Alex had to admit the Hershey Museum was definitely worth the price of admission. Alex thought the Apostolic Clock was fascinating, while Olivia thought it looked rather phallic. Olivia was much more enamored with the Indian Collections exhibit, and they made a leisurely visit to the Hershey Confectionery Shop. Alex loaded up on chocolate kisses and Hershey bars and Olivia picked up some gifts for Elliot and his kids.

Olivia and Alex caught a Hershey Trolley to Chocolate World. Once inside they took the Chocolate World tour ride. As they made there way through the tour ride, Olivia leaned over and kissed Alex.

"I love you. Thanks for putting up with me." Before Alex could reply, Olivia had pulled away and was pointing at something chocolate related. Alex took a moment to look at Olivia and was glad to see she was having fun. She looked so much younger when she was relaxed. She covered Olivia’s hand with her own and gave it a squeeze.

Olivia wrapped Alex in her arms as they stood on the street under the streetlamps that were shaped like Hershey Kisses. Olivia burrowed her cold nose into Alex’s neck. Alex caught Olivia’s eyes lingering a little longer than normal on some small children running around with balloons and candy.

"What are you thinking about Liv?"

"You want kids, right?" Alex tried to read Olivia’s expression.

"Yes. I think I might like to have a child. How about you?" Olivia nodded and Alex could have sworn she heard her say, "Thank God."

They caught a trolley back to the Hotel Hershey, and Olivia sent Alex up to the room under the pretense of getting some aspirin from the gift shop. When she saw Alex get on the elevator, she doubled back and went to the concierge’s stand.

Having taken care of everything she needed, Olivia made her way upstairs and found Alex waiting on her.

"Alex? Why aren’t you dressed?" Olivia was trying to ignore the way Alex’s white satin robe hung to her curves.

Alex was doing her best to seduce Olivia and was finding it harder than it normally was. "You know, Liv, we haven’t been together in over two weeks. Surely we have enough time for a little reconnection?" Alex was giving Olivia her best sultry stare. She even sucked her lower lip in and batted her eyelashes a few times to no avail.

"Uh, you need to get dressed Alex. We’re going to be late." Olivia willed herself to calm down and quickly turned away from Alex, who was none to happy at being rejected. Again.

30 minutes later, Alex emerged from the bathroom looking stunning in a striped white men’s shirt, tight jeans and high heels. Topping off the outfit was Alex’s black framed glasses. Olivia almost lost all of her resolve. Almost.

The elevator ride down to the restaurant was frosty and despite Olivia’s best efforts, Alex wasn’t being terribly forgiving.

After ordering and enduring Alex’s very cold shoulder, Olivia reached out and took Alex’s hand.

"You look beautiful Alex. But then you always look beautiful." Olivia gave her a small smile.

Alex relented and allowed her face to soften.

"Is something going on Olivia?"

"No, why?"

"We haven’t been intimate in over two weeks. That’s some sort of record for us. I miss you. I miss making love with you. I’ve tried, somewhat unsuccessfully, to seduce you not once, but twice today. You’ve rejected my advances. Even my lip sucking, eye lash batting move didn’t work."

"Oh it worked alright."

"Obviously not well enough. Now what gives?"

Olivia looked around trying to buy some time. Sweetie, I love you and I want you 24/7, so don’t ever doubt that. Just….be patient. Ok?"

Alex looked at Alex over the top of her glasses before nodding.

"As long as you’re still interested."

"Definitely sweetie. Definitely."

The temperature seemed to warm a bit after that and Alex actually found herself relaxing. Olivia sensed the relief in Alex and allowed herself to relax as well. Catching the waiters eye, Olivia asked for the check and felt her unease returning.

Alex became concerned as Olivia grew quiet. She faltered outside the door and took a deep breath before she opened the door to the room. Stepping back she allowed Alex to enter first and waited for her reaction.

"Liv?" Alex turned to Olivia in askance.

Olivia pulled Alex to her and kissed her thoroughly. "Don’t ever think I don’t want you." Olivia reached for Alex and pulled her further into the room.

Alex picked up what appeared to be a chocolate colored rose and sniffed it. "Is this…"

"A chocolate scented rose? Yes. They’re called Leonides and Milton Hershey had them carefully created for his wife. They give off a faint chocolate scent." Alex noticed the entire room was filled with the roses and candlelight.

There was also a bottle of champagne chilling and a wrapped box sitting in the middle of the room service cart. Alex tilted her head and waited for Olivia to explain.

Olivia pulled a Hershey kiss shaped fondue set out from beneath the cart. She also pulled out a bowl of strawberries, bananas and orange slices. She went about setting up the fruit and the fondue set.

"Alex, we need some chocolate to melt for the fondue. Can you open up that gift box on the cart?"

She watched as Alex opened the gift box. At first Alex hesitated as she looked inside the box, then she shook her head.

"Olivia?"

Olivia held Alex from behind and slowly turned her so that they were facing. "Well?"

"Yes. But we are not using my chocolate marriage proposal for fondue!" Olivia laughed.

"No need. There’s a block of chocolate under the tablecloth." Reaching behind Alex, Olivia pulled out the ring box and presented it to Alex.

The ¾ carat ring was pear shaped and off set by topaz baguettes. Slowly she slipped it on Alex’s finger. Alex Cabot, will you marry me?"

"Yes again." Olivia kissed her with more intensity and passion than Alex could ever remember. She slid her hand up in under Alex’s shirt and began unbuttoning it all the while kissing her. Olivia unhooked Alex’s bra and nuzzled her breasts before moving on to her neck.

Alex started her own exploration of Olivia’s body, and thumbed her nipple. Suddenly Olivia pulled back.

"You have to call your mother."

Not quite coherent, Alex asked, "What? Why are you thinking about my mother right now?"

"I promised her you’d call as son as I asked and you accepted."

"How would my mother know……."

"I called and asked for your hand. So to speak."

"What?"

"Alex, it’s no secret your mother is more than a little old fashioned about some things. I mean, the first three times you took me home she made me sleep in the guest house and she locked the front door so I couldn’t get in. At Christmas she politely suggested I end our sinful lifestyle and make you honest."

"She did not!"

"Oh yes she did! And she ordered me to talk you into having at least one grandchild for her."

"Do you really want children Liv?"

"Oh yeah. It’s just that the way she was talking about it, she didn’t think you wanted to have kids. Anyway, could you please go call her so we can end this chaste portion of our relationship?"

"What does my…..She didn’t! Please tell me you didn’t!"

"Your mother is a very persuasive woman Alex. She made me feel like I was 12 again."

"So I’ve been deprived of your oral talents for two weeks because of my mother? I’m going to kill her. After we make love until you can’t walk straight."

"Alex, you really should….." All further arguments were lost as Alex claimed first Olivia’s mouth and then her body.

By the time morning was breaking, Olivia Benson had been thoroughly and completely loved as had Alex Cabot. They had come up for air sometime during the night and eaten a healthy amount of chocolate covered strawberries and bananas. Olivia and Alex had even made some creative uses for the melted chocolate, before collapsing into a sticky pile.

Now Alex was dialing the telephone and talking to her mother. She’d started out trying to be stern, but had ended up gushing over wedding plans with her mother. Olivia lay in silence listening to her fiancee and her mother go on and on about who to invite and where to have the service.

An hour later Alex hung-up the phone and collapsed on top of Olivia.

"Don’t ever make me wait two weeks again Olivia Benson, or you’ll go two years!"

"Been there, done that babe. No sweat."

At Alex’s look she back peddled and quickly added, "But I don’t ever want to have to do that again."

Alex groaned as she tried to turn over.

"Sore?" Olivia couldn’t hide her smirk.

"Almost as sore as you." She leaned in and kissed her again and again.

"I’ll call and move our spa appointments back. But we are definitely keeping them."

After they’d pushed them back by an hour, Olivia joined her on the bed and they pulled each other close.

"Liv?"

"Hmmm?"

"Happy Valentine’s Day."

"Happy Valentine’s Day to you too sweetie."

A/N: Apologies to Stephanie March’s Mom for "borrowing" her habit of locking Mr. Flay out of the house the first few times he went home with her daughter. I’ve never been to Hershey, but it’s on my list of places to go and everything I wrote about actually exists. Sigh. One day.
